The Noble Quran, informally known as the Hilali-Khan translation, is an interpretation of the Meanings of the Noble Qur'an (1999) by Darussalam. Translated by Muhammad Muhsin Khan and Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali, it has become one of the most widely read translations worldwide, largely due to its official endorsement by the Saudi Government.

This English translation, which was sponsored by the Saudi government and is available for free, has earned a reputation as the most popular and widely distributed Quran in Islamic bookstores and Sunni mosques across English-speaking countries. This translation is meant to supersede the Yusuf 'Ali edition, and it has been endorsed by both the University of Medina and the Saudi Dar al-Ifta. The translation draws heavily from classical commentaries such as Tabari, Qurtubi, and Ibn Kathir.

Like any translation of the original Arabic text, the interpretation in this translation represents an understanding of the meanings of the Noble Qur'an. It incorporates commentaries and notes from At-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, and Ibn Kathir.

It took Mushin Khan twelve years to complete this translation. During that time, he referred to several English versions of the Qur'an but found them to be ambiguous and containing errors. In collaboration with Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali, he undertook the task of providing an interpretation of the meanings of the Noble Qur'an with supporting evidence from authentic sources.

In response to its popularity among readers, Khan and Hilali requested that Darussalam Publishers and Distributors publish a summarized edition in a single volume. Encouraged by this response, they subsequently prepared a comprehensive version consisting of nine volumes. This version includes a significant number of Ahadith from Sahih Al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and other books, along with commentary from Tafsir At-Tabd, Tafsir AI-Qurtubi, and Tafsir Ibn Kathir to further elaborate upon the Qur'anic Verses.

The Quran, considered the central religious text of Islam, is believed by Muslims to be a revelation from God (Arabic: الله‎, Allah). It is widely revered as a masterpiece of Arabic literature. Muslims hold that the Quran is unique among books in that it has been safeguarded by God from any distortion or corruption. However, due to significant textual variations and deficiencies in the Arabic script, the relationship between the current Quranic text and the original text remains unclear. The chapters of the Quran are called suras and its verses are known as ayahs.
